About Threom

IELTS practice between lessons, guided by your tutor.

What it is

Threom brings IELTS Speaking and Writing Task 2 work into one shared teaching space. Tutors assign practice, review the actual response and return a specific next step. Students can also practise independently.

AI feedback and tutor judgment

  • •AI practice estimate — a draft assessment based on the available response and evidence. Missing audio limits what can be said about pronunciation.
  • •Tutor review — a tutor can confirm or adjust a band, and separately select, edit or dismiss advice before returning guidance. The original response and AI feedback remain available.
  • •Practice, not certification — estimates and suggested rewrites are learning aids. A stronger example is not proof of independent mastery or a guaranteed exam result.

Privacy and data use

Speaking audio, transcripts and essays are processed by the configured transcription and AI services when those tools are used. Saved responses and reports support your practice history.

When you confirm a tutor connection, that tutor can see your practice history and reports until you revoke sharing. The tutor’s private guidance drafts stay private until returned to you.

We use Vercel for limited public-page usage and performance statistics, and Sentry for filtered error reports. These reports use broad page categories and selected action or error types. We exclude essays, recordings, transcripts, feedback text, account and assignment identifiers, and URL query strings from these reports.

We also use counts derived from existing account, tutor-connection, practice and payment-access records to understand completed work, returning use and access fulfilment. These measurements do not assess the content of your work.

A lesson continues in four steps

Step 1

Assign a focused task

Choose Speaking practice or a concrete Writing Task 2 question.

Step 2

Practise and submit

Use the recording or writing tools, and keep the original response.

Step 3

Review the evidence

The tutor chooses useful feedback and one clear next action.

Step 4

Revise and compare

Return a new attempt while keeping the earlier response and guidance.
